A different model necessary for rural health care to survive
While the debate over the fate of Obamacare continues in Washington, D.C., health care providers in Kansas are facing a much different debate.
What can they do to make health care affordable and accessible, particularly in rural areas?
“Our resources in Kansas are divided among too many hospitals,” says Scott County Hospital CEO Mark Burnett. “If you don’t tailor the services you provide to fit your community it’s going to be increasingly difficult to survive.”
